The Capital Region Sam B. Cook Healthplex held their 4th Annual Sweatin' to Make a Difference LES MILLS Relaunch to help raise donations to support The Food Bank’s Buddy Pack Program.
Through monetary donations and a food drive at the Fitness Center, members, participants and staff raised $263, which will support 1.5 children for an entire year. Contributions also included over 522 pounds of donated food and 206 jars of peanut butter. The amount of donated food more than doubled from last year’s collections.
Over 70 group fitness participants joined the Sam B. Cook Healthplex to support The Food Bank and experience the latest LES MILLS releases. On Saturday, June 25 on the South Lawn of the Capitol, group fitness instructors lead participants through Sunrise Yoga, BODYATTACKTM and CXWORXTM. On Sunday, June 26 the launch moved to the Sam B. Cook Healthplex aerobics studio for BODYPUMPTM and BODYSTEPTM.
