Wellness for Our Community

Corporate & Community Health
 offers the community access to vital preventive health screenings, wellness education and support services.
Our goal is to be your partner on your journey to wellness. Our Community Wellness Guide contains a partial listing of all services, highlighting the six dimensions that contribute to overall health and well-being: Physical, Environmental, Emotional/Social, Spiritual, Financial and Intellecutal. 


Bimonthly Cholesterol Screens
Cholesterol screens are available every 1st Tuesday and 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Corporate & Community Health Office. Screens include a lipid profile, comprehensive metabolic panel, total cholesterol, hemoglobin A1c and prostate-specific antigen. Please view the calendar of events for upcoming screenings. 

Smoking Cessation
Leslie-Cam® Auriculotherapy is a smoking cessation technique that administers electrical stimulus to the nerve endings on the outside of both ears. When the treatment session is finished, participants will have little or no urge to smoke. Please view the calendar of events for upcoming treatments.

Chronic Disease Self-Management Group Classes
Do you or someone you care for have heart disease, cancer, arthritis, fibromyalgia, depression or any other ongoing health condition? The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program is a free six-week group education workshop to help people with chronic conditions gain self-confidence in their ability to manage their own health. The group meets for 2 1/2 hours, once a week for six weeks.

Topics include:

  • Exercise and nutrition
  • Managing pain, fatigue, difficult emotions and depression
  • Medications and making treatment decisions
  • Communicating with family, friends and healthcare providers
  • Evaluating new treatments

Diabetes Self-Management Workshop

This free, six-week group class is available for those with diabetes, pre-diabetes and adults who take care of someone with diabetes. Topics of this workshop include dealing with symptoms of diabetes, fatigue, pain, hyper/hypoglycemia, stress and difficult emotions; exercise and nutrition; medication usage; reading food labels and working more effectively with healthcare providers.
